Aussie Hair Care and routine.......

Hi,

So after a few weeks of using the Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Leave in conditioner. Which I blogged about a few weeks ago. The ends of my hair have definitley improved! I absolutley love this product and I have been converted to Aussie and will not be turning back! It smells gorgeous and leaves my hair really shiny!
I went shopping yesterday and went into Superdrug, where I was very pleased to see Aussie was on buy one get one free! Yaay!! :) So I picked up the 3 minute miracle (Luscious Long) Deep Treatment for long hair begging for a treat! and the Take the heat, leave in cream! For heat damaged hair.
I am really looking forward to using these products after the results I got from the leave in conditioner.
Because these were buy one get one free, I didn't actually look at the prices (which is one of my worst habits!) But one of them was £4.99.  I will be going back and buying more from this range. One of the best things about these products is that they all smell amazing! I have used an Aussie shampoo and conditioner, but I'm not sure which they were because I was borrowing my sisters, but they seemed to leave my hair quite greasy and didn't really rinse out very well, but bear in my mind my sister has curly hair, so they would have been completely wrong for my hair type! So if you have found a really good shampoo and conditioner can you please, please, please tell me which one? I have very long, thick hair, which gets greasy on top with dry ends! So I would love to hear back from any of you, that have managed to find the perfect product. Also I am looking to get one of the Aussie hair sprays! I still haven't managed to find my perfect hair spray and this saddens me because I love to have BIG hair which without hairspray isn't going to stay big for very long :(

I have tried quite a few hair sprays from, Tresemme 24 hour body, Paul Smith Xtravagant. Which smells like coconut and it's great for summer to make your hair smell nice, but not good at keeping your hair in place. John Freida, Luxurious volume which smells pretty weird and leaves your hair sticky and isn't that cheap either! The list is endless and they were just to name a few.
So if any of you have used the Aussie hairspray then let me know what you think please. I'm going to go and get one next weekend so would like a few opinions first. I've checked YouTube, but didn't really find that many reviews about it.

After using the heat protector and the 3 minute miracle for a few weeks, I will let you know how they all left my hair.

So when it comes to my hair routine, I will probably have a few expert just wanting shake me, because of the things I do :( But hey ho, these things need to be done!

I wash my hair about 6-7days a week. So yes that's practically everyday! Also if I've been to work and I'm going out in the evening, I will wash it again, just to get rid of the smell of office and being at work all day.

I only ever shampoo my scalp, I never wash the length of my hair because it can cause them to dry out and split, so I wet my hair with warm water then after shampooing my scalp and rinsing it all out, I then squeeze as much excess water out as possible and then put a generous amount of conditioner through the length of my hair and leave it on while I wash my face, just so the conditioner can get into my hair better. Then I rinse of the conditioner with just cold water! It isn't something that I really enjoy about it does close the hair cuticle and locks in the conditioner, also it leaves your hair super shiny! I never wash my hair in the shower or bath either. I don't agree with washing it in the bath because I personally don't feel like you can rinse all the product out properly, especially if you've got bubble bath and what not in the water. Washing your hair in the shower is fine, but I always feels like my hair goes flat, when I've done it. So I always wash my hair over the bath.

So after all that, I will spray in my leave in conditioner and comb it through, with a wide toothed comb and wrap it back up in my towel, while I do make up and all that stuff. I put the leave in conditioner in when I do because I think it has more time to work into your hair. But I'm sure it's just personal preference :)

Then I dry my hair upside until it's completely dry and smooth in VO5 smooth n sleek, heat protect serum and then I straighten it. And yes I do this every day!!!! Except on days when I'm not going out, so normally on a Sunday I will, wash my hair and put on a hair mask or some sort of treatment and leave it in for about 30mins to an hour, rinse off with cold water, spray in loads of leave in conditioner and put it all up, so I don't use any heat on it at all.

The hair dryer I use is the Mark Hill, Zebra print one from Boots and I also use the Mark Hill, Pink leopard print straighteners, also from Boots. Which I don't think they do in pink any more :( But the hair dryer is THE best hair dryer I have ever used! It;s not too heavy, it dries my hair so quickly and it's really powerful. It's also great for drying nail varnish too :)

If you have any hair tips please let me know :)

Thank you for reading, I'm now off to try out the 3 minute miracle :)!!!

When life gives you a lemon....

Helloooooo........

I thought I would blog about my skin today. If you read my blog regularly, you will understand how much me and skin have shared a mutual hatred for each other since puberty first kicked in!

So after trawling Google for what seemed like a year, I have finally found some miracle cures! And I am soooo happy with the results! So if you struggle with your skin, hopefully you will benefit from the following points :)
Now I must warn you, I think I may have been a hippy  in a past life because I do believe in herbal supplements and eating you're way to healthiness, instead of just popping some pills and filling your body with crap. So if you think that's a load of rubbish, then you probably won't want to read on lol!

Firstly, everyone goes on about how much water you should drink a day and that's not always easy. When you're at work or school, you can't keep running to the loo every 5 minutes! But trust me...STICK WITH IT! Not only does it help, fight wrinkles, it plumps out your skin, helps fight dark circles and gives you sparkling eyes :)
I went through a phase of drinking Green Tea all the time to help my skin, but to be completely honest I didn't notice a single change :( So now I just have one or two cups a day, mainly for it's anti-oxidant benefits. But the best thing I have found to replace it is hot water with lemon juice! It is literally my new saviour! I can not believe how quickly my skin has cleared up! The benefits of drinking lemon water are amazing! Not only does lemon work as a natural antiseptic, it helps prevent disease and assists of cleansing your system from impurities.

Some of the things that lemons can help treat are things such as; sore throat, cough, colds and chapped lips, indigestion  heartburn and even bloating!

Now after three years of studying anatomy and physiology I have learnt a few things. One of these is that your body prefers to be Alkaline and even though lemons are pretty acidic they're alkalising once they are in your system, so the more alkaline your body is the healthier you will look and feel :)
If you like to go out and drink at the weekend, then you can also benefit from drinking lemon water because it helps detox your liver and helps with nausea. So it's a pretty good hangover cure! (Especially now party season is upon us!!) Even if you haven't been drinking it is still important to flush your body from yucky toxins, which always shows first in your skin!
Another thing which I didn't expect to hear about lemon water, is that it's quite good for your teeth! I thought because it was acidic, it might be bad for the enamel on your teeth, but it actually helps build healthy bones and teeth because they contain 29.9% calcium!

I need to move on to the next thing that's great for your skin before I bore you to death with lemon talk! And that is Acai Berry Juice, I buy it from Holland & Barrett for about £2.50 for a big carton and it tastes lovely!!
It also one of the healthiest things you can have! It helps the collagen in your skin, so keeps you looking younger for longer, which is always a good thing!  It basically contains everything! As you can see below;

In addition to having potassium, fiber, calcium, phosphorus and proteins you need to keep your body going, Acai also contains Vitamins C, E, B1, B2, B3 and fatty acids Omega-9 and Omega-6 to help improve your cholesterol. It is called a superfood because you could get almost all your day’s nutritional needs from this one fruit. Not only that, but Acai research has shown the fruit to have the most antioxidants of any fruits or vegetables, protecting you from damaging free radicals roaming the atmosphere.
These little berries also, fight cancer! helps you heart function and helps with your circulation :)
So I would definitely recommend you including these into your diet, to keep you looking young and beautiful.

When it comes to washing my face, my holy grail face wash has got to be, Neutrogena 2in1 face wash and mask! I think it smells really nice, but that might just be me being weird, but if you start to get a little breakout or you're a bit more oily then usual then you really should try this face wash, just leave it on for about 5 mins and then rinse off and then put a very cold flannel over your face to help close your pores, slap on a bit of moisturiser and get a good nights sleep and the redness and size of the blemishes or spots would have been reduced :) You can get this for about £3-£4 from Boots or Superdrug. I usually use this face wash when I get in from work and take all of my face off. Then in the morning I use another Neutrogena face wash and that's the daily pink grapefruit wash. It smells absolutely AMAZING! And I love the colour! I also use the Pink Grapefruit, visibly clear, facial scrub once or twice a week. I think it's quite a good scrub, if you have quite sensitive skin because the little beady bits are quite small and soft, when it's in your hand it doesn't seem like it's going to be any good at removing dead skin or dry bits, but it's actually really good and leaves your skin sooooo soft.

So you'll be pleased to know I am on my last skin improving product and that has got to be Evening Primose Oil Capsules! Evening Primose is known to help reduce acne and flare ups. It also helps reduce redness and rejuvenates your skin. I take 2 a day with a glass of Acai berry juice. I have also noticed that since taking these capsules my hair has got a lot thicker and falls out less when I wash it. (Not that you would really notice any hair loss, with the amount of hair that i've got! Even cousin It would be jealous!! Lol) I have noticed any side effects of taking these capsules, but if any crop I will be sure to let you lovely ladies know! :)

So hopefully, if you decide to include even one of the above things, you will benefit from it. Overall, my skin appears tighter, smoother, softer, less red and my pores have shrunk!!...Finally!!! :)

If you have any other skin tips please let me know and remember if you would like to know anything just ask :)

Thanks For Reading xxxxxxx

Trevor!!!

Also while I'm on here, I thought why not introduce you to my Favourite little man. Not my boyfriend. My other Favourite little man lol....Trevor! My 1/2 Jack Russell, 1/4 Bichon Frise and 1/4 Shitzu!!

He was my 21st birthday present, last year and we got to pick him up on Valentines Day (Aaaawwwwww) Below are the pictures of how we brought him home in the car! Anyone would think he was my first born child haha. Wrapped up in his blanket, with his little teddy bear!

As the months went on, he became more and more playful and VERY cheeky, he doesn't act like your average dog, more like a little person and he never fails to make everyone laugh!

He aslso had the cutest little hair! And I used to spike it up at times and give him a little Mohican and when I used to get ready and do my own hair, he used to sit on my lap and wait for me to do his!!!

Sadly, Trevor did not stay looking like this! After his first walk out he decided to get incredibly muddy and definitely made the most of being in the park, so when we got home, he needed a bath and that's when everything changed!! From this;

 He turned into......THIS!;

Granted, he's still just as adorable afterwards, but it looks like we switched dogs! But thankfully, his personality never changed and we still have the funny, crazy, playful little pup we have now, that loves being dressed up!

So there you go, you have now met Trevor and know doubt he'll be getting into more mischief and funny situations, that I can fill you in on later, but this will do for now!. And maybe in a few months I can introduce to my other Favourite man lol................

Pay Day Haul :)

Hi,

So today was my last day of annual leave and it was pay day! So I went SHOPPING!!! :) I didn't really buy anything that exciting as I didn't buy any clothes or jewellery. I did get a few Christmas presents and something for Halloween, but I won't bore you with them yet!

So the first thing was this candle from Matalan, it cost £6.00 and comes with a diamanté band around the middle and it measures 10x10cms. I'm going to stand this on a mirrored candle plate which I got years ago in Habitat (that was about £6 too).

The next thing I had to buy, which I get probably about every 3-4 months is the Gosh primer from Superdug. It costs £12.99 and they do a whole range of different ones, which I haven't tried, but if you have can you let me know what they're like please :)
The one I get is the classic, velvet touch and it comes in a 30ml bottle. It's the perfect base for foundation and it's perfume and preservative free. It also helps fill in fine line and deep pores, which is one of the main reasons why I get this product, because I feel my pores are really visible and I hate them.....with a passion!!! :( No matter what I do or try, they will not disappear!! But this does help shrink them. Slightly. It does help your make up stay on a lot longer and it does help in having a smoother application and base when you apply your make up.

Staying on the subject of large pores (sorry) I was applying my make up this morning and the Maybelline advert came on for their Dream, Satin liquid foundation. I went through a phase of loving the dream, matte mousse and the solid to liquid foundations, but unfortunately they didn't seem to last long enough for the price they cost for my liking! So I thought why not try this foundation as it's the same amount of liquid foundation (30ml) as I normally buy and that always manages to last me months.  It's advertised an air-whipped foundation with an airbrush finish which is supposed to leave you looking flawless, seamless, incredibly smooth and subtly luminous! And is supposed to help minimize pores by laying over them, instead of sinking into them. I haven't used this yet, so I will do a review after it's been worn a few times. I am pretty excited about trying this out! When I swatched this product it blended out really well and it smelt quite nice too and it definitely left a nice smooth finish, so hopefully it will do this to the skin on my face. I got this in boots for £8.19 in Ivory.

The next piece of make up, again I buy every couple of months is the collection 2000, lasting perfection, 16hour wear concealer. Its £4.99 and I buy this in fair, which is the lightest shade they do, because it works great as a highlight, just under the eyebrows, on top of your cheekbones, cupids bow and helps brighten under the eye. I watched reviews on this product on YouTube and everyone raved about it, so I definitely wanted to try it and now I have completely been converted and you HAVE yo buy it!! You won't regret buying it, I promise!!! And I found it did help to reduce the look of pores too! Yay!!

The last face product I purchased was Rimmel's Clear Complexion, clarifying powder. I think it only comes in Transparent? I haven't seen it in any other colours?? Sorry to drone on about enlarged pores! (Yuck) But this one I think, helps minimize pores better then the powder they sell that is supposed to cover them. I can't remember the name of that powder. Ooops! So anyway this is why I always come back to this powder and it helps you keep looking matte for longer. Because if that wasn't bad enough that I suffer from big pores, I also suffer from really oily skin too!!! (Im getting more and more attractive as this post goes on lol) It claims to keep you shine free for up to 5hours, not sure if I completely agree with that, but it does stay on for a good while. I got this in Boots for £3.99.

The next product I bought was Carmex lip balm in cherry, it was £2, something, from Boots and smells just like the cherry flavoured ChuppaChupps lollies. Now a few people say that it's unhygienic to buy these lip balms in the little tub like containers, but I personally prefer them. 1) They last longer and 2) They don't look like a gloopy gloss! Again this wasn't very exciting, but my other one was coming to an end and you can not be with out a good lip balm in the winter! It's just a necessity that should live in your handbag! :)

Whenever, I get paid I always buy a Barry M nail paint and because it's Autumn/Winter I always prefer darker colours, so this one caught my eye. It's number 161- Vivid purple. And it's like a metallic colour and it's sooo shiny, it looks gorgeous on and the coverage is quite good with just 1 coat.  Again from Boots and it will cost you £2.99.

Now, the last product I bought.....I bet you're all thinking "Finally!!" Lol is a sure deodorant and it's the special edition ones, with the perfume in. The last one I got was called Bright which I think has an apricoty smell and this one has scents of peach and wild raspberry and it smell gorgeous!!! They are currently on offer in Superdug for £1.50 for the 150ml size. So if you haven't yet tried them, I recommend you run to Superdrug and pick them up!.....NOW!

As from tomorrow, I am back at work...Urrgghhh!!!!......So unfortunately no more shopping :( So the next post I'm going to do is a Halloween one!! :) That will prob get posted Tuesday, even though it's the day after Halloween, it's the only way the food will be ready to show you and stuff, so even though it's not ideal it's the best I can do....But I will try and think of a way round it while i'm at work!! :)

Soooo....See you then my little Pumpkins :) xxx

Kim Kardashian........

Now, I am one of the biggest Kardashian fans....EVER!....I love all of them. Khloe for her personality, Kourtney for her wardrobe and Kim for her make up!!! And to be completely honest! I would pay to have one of her certain assets lol!!!! So to show my appreciation I dedicate this post to them. So if you want a bit of Armenian style then read on;

I'm going to start with Kim Kardashians very impressive pout!! It can be yours to thanks to MAC and NARS!!

Kim is a big fan of Angel by MAC it's a creamy, soft pink shade and looks amazing for day time and evening. It will cost you £13.50 and is definitely worth purchasing as suits most skin tones.
The lipsticks from MAC are quite moisturising, so make sure to only use a little bit of lip balm, if you use too much then you could start to look a bit gloopy! The next product you will need to achieve this stunning pout is MACS lip pencil in stripdown. Again it's quite a neutral shade which is best for creating a fuller pout. These lip liners from MAC have a smooth, creamy texture and blend really well. They also contain Vitamin E  which according to MAC acts as an anti-oxidant, so this is great for moisturising your lips. Wearing a lip liner will not only help define your mouth and can help make your lips look bigger, but is also great in preventing your lipstick from bleeding. This lip liner will cost you £10.50.
Now the final product you will need for perfect, kissable lips is Turkish Delight Lip gloss by NARS. Like the other two products, it's a great neutral colour, so can be worn by most people, and looks great for any occasion  any time of the day. It is slightly more expensive then MAC, but  an A-List pout isn't going to come cheap! This lip gloss will cost you £17.50. It's a very creamy formula and looks great on its own too! So for all three products you're looking at £41.50, which may seem pricey, but considering as Christmas is coming why not add them to your list :) Another great excuse to treat yourself is that it is the party season, so no doubt you'll be putting these products to good use! Below is a picture of Kim applying some of these products. You can watch the make up tutorial she did using these products on YouTube.

Kim applying Turkish Delight

Now on to the next Kardashian look, i'm going to talk about Kourtney. I think this woman has the best wardrobe on the planet! Some things I see her wear and think only she could pull it off. But her outfits are always put together really well and are always colour co-ordinated, which is a big obsession of mine! Even when she was pregnant she managed to look absolutely flawless and dressed amazing!
This outfit is one of my Favorited looks for autumn and I think would be great for lunch with friends or shopping. I love everything from the denim shirt to the tassled boots! Denim shirts are normally best to buy in

the mens section because then they won't be as fitted around the wait, which would be best to achieve this look. I have had a good look around for denim shirts similar to this one and these are the best ones I've managed to find.
This one is from River Island (Mens section) The colour isn't that great of a match, but I think teamed with the rest of the outfit it would look just as great!
River Island £32.99
You can pick this up for £32.99. I would recommend purchasing this from the shop and not online, just to make sure it fits right. Now the next shirt is quite a bit darker and also from River Island! (What a surprise lol) and this will cost you £35.00.
This one does have brown stitching and brown buttons. You can also wear the sleeved rolled up or down. The best thing about denim is that it suits EVERYONE! And it lasts forever, so you can afford to splash out a bit more. If you just want a cheap dupe, then I would 100% recommend Primark, there denim shirts are not only cheap, but made pretty
River Island £35.00
well. Again you will find the best ones in the men section. Some come with hoods, but they are easily removed. Sometimes it's best to customise your own clothes. At least that way you know that no one else will have it :) I personally think the hooded denim shirts look really nice for a casual look and this one is one of the nicest I've seen. Now this is also from River Island (I swear I'm not sponsored by them lol) and it's been reduced from £40.00 to £30.00.
River Island £30.00
The next thing you will need to achieve this look this is white vest. You can pick these up everywhere!!
New Look, River Island, Miss Selfridge, Primark, Zara and H&M.
Basically anywhere that sells clothes lol You will also need this slightly baggy, so again you mgiht want to get in a size bigger. It won't matter if the arm holes are too baggy and hang too low because it will be covered by the shirt :) You will need leggings! Again anywhere that sells clothes will have leggings!! However, I wouldn't recommend Primark as I have bought lkeggings from here before and they lasted about 3 washes before they jsut started to fall apart! Not only were they practically see through! The elastic started to show through and they got holes in really quickly! The leggings i've bught were from Topshop for £12.00 and they are quite thick and have lasted forever!! :)
Finally to complete this look, you will need flat, black boots! I think plain black Ugg boots would look just as good, but I do adore the tassled ones! But I can't find any even similar! :( So if you manage to see any please let me know!...Thanks :)

Kourtney!

Now last but not least...My favourite Kardashian.....Khloe!!!! :) Yaaay!!! I am absolutely addicted to watching Khloe & Lamar, they are literally THE Best celebrity couple! They get on so well and are really funny together. As strange as this sounds, it was watching this programme that I noticed Khloe's nails! I was probable drawn to it because you can't help but miss the whopping engagement ring!!! (Lucky)
KhloeKardashian.com
It was noticing this I saw the nicest colour nail varnish! It was a pastel lilac shade and looks so nice with any outfit! The best dupe for this colour has got to be Barry M, Berry Ice Cream! It's a huge faviroute of mine and can wear it for weeks on end, with out getting bored!
Berry Ice Cream
It last ages and doesn't chip! Which is amazing to me, as I normally manage to chip my nails within about an hour of it being on! It dries really quickly and if you apply just 1 layer of clear top coat it,goes so glossy! You can buy this nail varnsih from Boot or Superdrug for £2.99. If you find your nail varnish is starting to go a bit gloopy, try keeping it in the fridge or adding a very small drop of nail varnish remover and giving it a good shake and then it should be as good as new!the Krdashains also have their own O.P.I nail varnish range called Kardashian Kolors and there are 14 different shades to choose from :) So there is definitely a shade for everyone from dark, bright to pale and some amazing sparkly ones for the party season!

I hope you enjoyed this post and again if you would like me to do a product review or any celebrity inspired looks or tags, then let me know and I will do my best to get it up as quickly as possible :)
