Pay Day Haul :)

Hi,

So today was my last day of annual leave and it was pay day! So I went SHOPPING!!! :) I didn't really buy anything that exciting as I didn't buy any clothes or jewellery. I did get a few Christmas presents and something for Halloween, but I won't bore you with them yet!

So the first thing was this candle from Matalan, it cost £6.00 and comes with a diamanté band around the middle and it measures 10x10cms. I'm going to stand this on a mirrored candle plate which I got years ago in Habitat (that was about £6 too).

The next thing I had to buy, which I get probably about every 3-4 months is the Gosh primer from Superdug. It costs £12.99 and they do a whole range of different ones, which I haven't tried, but if you have can you let me know what they're like please :)
The one I get is the classic, velvet touch and it comes in a 30ml bottle. It's the perfect base for foundation and it's perfume and preservative free. It also helps fill in fine line and deep pores, which is one of the main reasons why I get this product, because I feel my pores are really visible and I hate them.....with a passion!!! :( No matter what I do or try, they will not disappear!! But this does help shrink them. Slightly. It does help your make up stay on a lot longer and it does help in having a smoother application and base when you apply your make up.

Staying on the subject of large pores (sorry) I was applying my make up this morning and the Maybelline advert came on for their Dream, Satin liquid foundation. I went through a phase of loving the dream, matte mousse and the solid to liquid foundations, but unfortunately they didn't seem to last long enough for the price they cost for my liking! So I thought why not try this foundation as it's the same amount of liquid foundation (30ml) as I normally buy and that always manages to last me months.  It's advertised an air-whipped foundation with an airbrush finish which is supposed to leave you looking flawless, seamless, incredibly smooth and subtly luminous! And is supposed to help minimize pores by laying over them, instead of sinking into them. I haven't used this yet, so I will do a review after it's been worn a few times. I am pretty excited about trying this out! When I swatched this product it blended out really well and it smelt quite nice too and it definitely left a nice smooth finish, so hopefully it will do this to the skin on my face. I got this in boots for £8.19 in Ivory.

The next piece of make up, again I buy every couple of months is the collection 2000, lasting perfection, 16hour wear concealer. Its £4.99 and I buy this in fair, which is the lightest shade they do, because it works great as a highlight, just under the eyebrows, on top of your cheekbones, cupids bow and helps brighten under the eye. I watched reviews on this product on YouTube and everyone raved about it, so I definitely wanted to try it and now I have completely been converted and you HAVE yo buy it!! You won't regret buying it, I promise!!! And I found it did help to reduce the look of pores too! Yay!!

The last face product I purchased was Rimmel's Clear Complexion, clarifying powder. I think it only comes in Transparent? I haven't seen it in any other colours?? Sorry to drone on about enlarged pores! (Yuck) But this one I think, helps minimize pores better then the powder they sell that is supposed to cover them. I can't remember the name of that powder. Ooops! So anyway this is why I always come back to this powder and it helps you keep looking matte for longer. Because if that wasn't bad enough that I suffer from big pores, I also suffer from really oily skin too!!! (Im getting more and more attractive as this post goes on lol) It claims to keep you shine free for up to 5hours, not sure if I completely agree with that, but it does stay on for a good while. I got this in Boots for £3.99.

The next product I bought was Carmex lip balm in cherry, it was £2, something, from Boots and smells just like the cherry flavoured ChuppaChupps lollies. Now a few people say that it's unhygienic to buy these lip balms in the little tub like containers, but I personally prefer them. 1) They last longer and 2) They don't look like a gloopy gloss! Again this wasn't very exciting, but my other one was coming to an end and you can not be with out a good lip balm in the winter! It's just a necessity that should live in your handbag! :)

Whenever, I get paid I always buy a Barry M nail paint and because it's Autumn/Winter I always prefer darker colours, so this one caught my eye. It's number 161- Vivid purple. And it's like a metallic colour and it's sooo shiny, it looks gorgeous on and the coverage is quite good with just 1 coat.  Again from Boots and it will cost you £2.99.

Now, the last product I bought.....I bet you're all thinking "Finally!!" Lol is a sure deodorant and it's the special edition ones, with the perfume in. The last one I got was called Bright which I think has an apricoty smell and this one has scents of peach and wild raspberry and it smell gorgeous!!! They are currently on offer in Superdug for £1.50 for the 150ml size. So if you haven't yet tried them, I recommend you run to Superdrug and pick them up!.....NOW!

As from tomorrow, I am back at work...Urrgghhh!!!!......So unfortunately no more shopping :( So the next post I'm going to do is a Halloween one!! :) That will prob get posted Tuesday, even though it's the day after Halloween, it's the only way the food will be ready to show you and stuff, so even though it's not ideal it's the best I can do....But I will try and think of a way round it while i'm at work!! :)

Soooo....See you then my little Pumpkins :) xxx
